Bio

Adam J. Dorfman (he/him) is a music director, arranger/orchestrator, and multi-instrumentalist currently based in New York City.

He has contributed to countless productions, workshops, readings, concerts, and cabarets alongside a variety of Broadway alumni, showcasing a diversity of styles and skillsets. Whether it be on the piano as an accompanist, at the podium as a music director and conductor, or behind his computer as an arranger, orchestrator, copyist, or music assistant, Adam has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the rehearsal room and on the stage from every angle of the music team. He has worked closely with Jeanine Tesori, Doug Besterman, Nate Patten, Nadia DiGiallonardo, Mark G. Meadows, Charlie Rosen, Will Van Dyke, Joey Contreras, and more.

Outside of the New York theatre scene, he is also a competent session player and music producer, having worked with a number of bands and solo acts in various styles, in the recording studio and as a live musician. He has additionally garnered a following of over fifty-thousand on the social media app TikTok, where he has regularly produced a potpourri of music content.

Adam is a proud graduate of Berklee College of Music (2022) with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production, studying with Bill Elliott and Eric Stern, among others.
